Great slicer, but poor design. I understand it needs to be cleaned, but when the design doesn't allow you to clean every inch it's disheartening. Used it one time for a wedding that was being catered and it held up to the stress of being used for hours but food got to places that could never be reached. I am taking it back and getting a more industrial style that doesn't allow food to hide and rot. I did get a chance to use it at home and it did wonderful. The only exception was it did have a tendency to shred and rip meat by the blade and guard. I had to turn off each time to remove meat. great for home use and not anything for professional use. the name is misleading.
