After a lot of skepticism I went ahead and gave a try to this 350 dollar topper!. I already have a 15 inch memory foam mattress but after a few months of use i started to wake up with serious back pain. Apparently my hip area sagged in the memory foam and that caused the spinal misalignment which lead to the pain in the morning. Most of my research indicated that for a back sleeper the firm mattress is the best support. I actually experimented by sleeping on the floor to confirm my conclusions and viola ----no pain! so it was clear the memory foam was not working for me and I needed a firm to extra firm mattress. In addition, I did not like the heat the memory foam generated and I woke up sweaty more often than not. I haver never liked a traditional spring mattress so a firm mattress of that kind was out of question.

After reading a lot of reviews on the wonderful qualities and breathability of natural latex it was not very clear to me if I can get an extra firm latex that will responsively support the back yet be comfortable enough. I am predominantly a back sleeper but like most human beings also sleep on the side now and then. My latex topper arrived promptly (in 3 days) from the vendor and was delivered in good condition. I quickly unpacked it and there was no odour!! it is heavy so be careful in moving it to your bedroom. Best to unpack it in the bedroom. Also be careful handling it --it can tear as it is not covered. Next step was key. I turned my existing memory foam mattres upside-down (as I wanted no part of memory foam below the topper) and laid the topper directly on the back part. I would not have hesitated to lay it directly on box springs or bunkie board but did not have any. The latex toppers are naturally abrasive so they do not move. I let it 'air' for a few hours in the open and then covered it with fitted sheets (it comes uncovered but that is why it is somewhat cheap--the full size latex mattress can run 3-4 K otherwise).

On the first night itself I loved the feel!!! it was just correctly firm (but supported side sleep position) and would have been firmer if I had directly placed it on a bunkie board. I woke up fresh and without any discomfort in the morning (repeated experience for next few days). This is not a cheap topper by any means but if it qualitatively changes your sleep experience then it is worth it. To me this was worth every dollar and has changed my sleep completely!!! I plan to revisit this review if my experience changes with time as ultimate test will be how it feels 6 mos later. But for now I feel very satisfied with this solution.
