Grandfather Clock in Cherry Review

If you are like me and do not want to spend two thousand plus on a nice grandfather clock, you probably have been looking at this one and wondering if it is worth it or not. Based on the low price, you are probably considering that it might really be garbage. I was skeptical, but went ahead and ordered it anyway for our move to a house.

It arrived, and the top part of the clock is very heavy, solid wood. The bottom part mostly is more of a veneer type wood. It looks absolutely beautiful in person, and setup was very easy. After three months, it runs great, and looks just like a two thousand dollar clock. I am so glad I ordered it! It is very much a rich cherry color.

I am torn on this one, between 4 and 5 stars. It is a GREAT price, and looks great. The only drawback is that with the top part being so heavy and solid, it is slightly top heavy as the bottom part is made of veneers. We were worried about it at first- it is in an entryway area which sees a lot of dog traffic (they run around like monkeys) and so far has held up to them running and brushing against it. But then again my husband thinks we should take an extra step and secure it against the wall. So far we haven't yet...

I feel for the price and overall quality it is almost (almost!) five stars, just exercise some caution with it being a bit top heavy. But if you love grandfather clocks, this is gorgeous, runs great and in person looks just like the real McCoy.
