I read a lot of reviews about this, some really good and others telling awful stories about damaged parts, difficulty with assembly and a whole host of other negative stories. I'm pretty good at putting things together so I took a chance. I now have a beautiful cabinet but I went through alot to get it. Was it worth it? It all depends on you.

When it arrived, it was as huge and as heavy as the other reviews noted. I finaly got it in the house and unpacked all the parts. Assembly is not that difficult, I did it myself, but many of the wood parts were damaged, almost half of them. I immediately contacted the seller, I emailed the store as I was putting the thing together, and the seller told me he had replacement parts so as I assembled, I sent him a list of the damaged pieces. Each piece is marked with a sticker of a letter so they're easily identified. I got as far as I could with assembly until the replacement parts arrrived. But for this seller, I would have returned the whole thing. Now the cabinet is wonderful but make sure you buy from a seller who has replacement parts because the majority of the reviews are from buyers who also got damaged parts so I suspect this is very common with this piece. Also, the reviews noted that the earring bars were thin, this is correct, but if you take care with them you will find they are sufficient. As noted by other reviews, I too had trouble fitting some of my larger bangles, it isn't deep enough to use the bracelet bar, but there are pouches that work just fine. The item is huge and it's great to have all my jewelry in one place where I can see everything at once. Overall, it was worth it so I'd buy it again but ONLY FROM A SELLER WHO HAS REPLACEMENT PARTS and is willing to work with you.
