Before I start my review of the mattress set itself, I would like to suggest that if you order this one, or any other, make sure you are right there as the trucking company takes the set off the truck, as they take it into your home and don't just let them plop the set inside the front door - walk around it to make sure there are no tears in the plastic and/or damage to the set itself.

I noticed the driver checking out the plastic on one of the pieces as it was unloaded from the truck, yet he said nothing about it being torn. Both pieces of the mattress set are delivered in super heavy plastic. Good thing because the driver and his helper DRAGGED the two pieces from the truck to my front door instead of carrying them or placing them on a 4 wheeler.

You will have a big investment in this mattress set so make sure it is perfect at the time of delivery and if not, make sure you note any problems on the delivery receipt BEFORE you sign it.

I ordered a STRUCTURES by Malouf Heavy Duty 6-Leg LINENSPA Adjustable Metal Bed Frame with Double Center Support and Rug Rollers - UNIVE to place the mattress set on. It was a hassle to put it together as it seemed a bit out of line, and the mattress set fit into it with NO room to spare. None! Not even for a queen fitted sheet which I wanted to place around the bottom piece for dust protection, etc. Maybe I should have ordered a king/queen instead of a twin/full/queen. I actually was afraid the frame might damage the set while trying to get it to fit and I am not sure it won't be when removed.

I need to mention the height of the bed once the mattress set is in a steel frame - 31" to 33" approx. from floor to top. The bed is high compared to some. I noticed pictures of the mattress set in a platform type frame which would lower it considerably and the set would probably fit into the frame better than being squeezed into the steel frame I bought. Just something to consider if 31" might be an issue.

This is a heavy set and at the suggestion of a friend, we found it easy to move down the hall and into the bedroom while still encased in the plastic - slides real easy, and then cut the plastic off in the bedroom.

My review is from a consumer's viewpoint after having slept on the mattress set. All the technical information is available to read and it is impressive to read, but if you are like me, the bottom line is how does the mattress set look...how does it feel and how do I feel after having slept on it.

I wanted this mattress set for my husband as the only way he has been able to sleep at all since a serious work accident in 2005 is on a raised airbed that has a no flat pump for adjustment. He can never get comfortable and really doesn't know what a decent night's sleep is, but he was quite happy with his airbed.

If you have pets, I would suggest using a bed skirt, not just for pet hair, but because of the material used, I think it will 'click' easily if a pet, especially a cat, touches (claws) it.

I used a thick mattress pad on the top - one with a stretchy skirt to completely cover the depth of the mattress.

The mattress set is very attractive and the top portion is beautiful to look at and to touch. Very soft and satiny and plush.

My husband has been sleeping on it for a week and he said it did take some getting used to and he still finds himself getting completely out of bed during the night to turn over (this is not unusual as he has several steel implants), but HE LIKES IT!! And, I do NOT hear him groaning when he gets up in the mornings like he used to. Now, to me, knowing he is in pain 24/7, to me that means he is getting rest and that his body is not 'fighting' the mattress. In fact, I think he is getting some of the best rest he has had in years. To me, that's everything!

I am used to sleeping on a king double pillow-top with a 2" memory foam topper, so when I tried the Recharge myself I did not know what to expect. WOW! I loved it!! I liked the size - I had never slept on a queen size before. I like the way my body felt laying on it. Kind of like it morphed into/onto the mattress - hard to explain. It was different, but it did not take any getting used to if that makes sense. It just felt good! It felt comfortable! At times I have problems laying on one hip at night and have to turn over to relieve the pressure. I did not have to do that while sleeping on the Recharge! It felt firm without being uncomfortable. It felt plush without feeling like a featherbed.

Imagine what this mattress set would feel like to someone with no aches or pains if it is helpful to those of us who do have them!!

So, based on our experience I would highly recommend the Beautyrest Recharge World Class Manorville Luxury Firm Pillow Top Mattress Set. It is a beautiful set, beautifully made and very comfortable to sleep on.

AND, MADE IN THE USA!!! To me, having respiratory issues, the fact I don't have to worry about 'unknown' materials having been treated with 'unknown' chemicals (or not being treated with anything period) is a MAJOR plus............
