Even with our nosy little dog constantly bouncing around underfoot, along with a curious cat who had to know what we were doing with the contents of that big box she had been napping on ... even with all the distractions, just 90 minutes is about how long it took for my sister and me to put together this lovely rocker. Assembly was easy, and fortunately we knew in advance about the guideline-only holes for positioning the seat brackets, as mentioned by other reviewers (that part is a little confusing in the printed directions). The finished product is a beautiful rocker worthy of becoming a family heirloom. Bold, sturdy, well made and very impressive! You'll certainly get lots of compliments when guests notice this piece of furniture. Apart from being beautiful, it's very comfortable, too, soothing to aching backs and even helped my sister through a bout of acid reflux. Just a half hour rocking in this chair and she felt so much better. Relaxation is sometimes the best therapy, and sitting in this rocker is a wonderful means to relax. My only gripe is I ordered only one. My sister and I will have to share for now, but this is such a great bargain I think we'll be ordering another one soon.
