I purchased this blender when I decided to add daily green smoothies to my diet. I knew a commercial blender was an appropriate investment, and I searched the net for weeks, trying to ensure I was happy with the FIRST purchase, rather than going through several. I noticed there were no reviews on Amazon, but I did find them elsewhere online, and Amazon had a great price for this baby. Keep in mind, this is a commercial blender, so it's going to cost a pretty penny, but in my case, it was an INVESTMENT in my health, so I knew exactly what I needed/wanted in a blender, and I found it here. I have been been using the blender at LEAST once daily, most days I blend more than one batch of smoothies. My blender handles everything I throw at her with grace.... within seconds, she can disintegrate whatever combination of produce I choose... Carrots are obliterated, apples with seeds, Kiwi unpeeled, whole limes, celery ribs, almonds, flax seed, you name it, I've done it. It's recommended to blend a green smoothie for at least a full minute, as it guarantees the maximum benefit from the greens, as the cell structure is burst to smithereens... if I blend for more than a minute, my smoothie ends up a lukewarm soup. If I were to continue blending, it would continue to warm up! That's the power of the blade...
Clean up? None! I simply remove the cap from the lid, rinse both, then rinse the blender pitcher under running water for seconds, and drain to dry. End of cleanup!
I have owned my blender since mid- March, and it's still going strong. There has been no lapse in power or speed. It's been durable and dependable. I expect this trend to continue.
