The rich colors of this comforter set coordinate beautifully with the color scheme that we have throughout our house. It is thick and plush, and because it is a nappy chenille, our kitty kat will not destroy it with his kneading. The set comes with a faux distressed leather bed skirt, and the shams are trimmed in the same faux leather piping, giving it a somewhat "rustic" look, but, as they say in the fashion world, you can either dress it up or dress it down. In our bedroom we didn't want nor need the bed skirt, and the comforter set looks very lovely dressed up with a couple of satiny burgundy pillows embroidered with gold. BTW, this set is very well made. The shams have zippered closures, and the comforter is a very generous size. We couldn't be happier with this purchase!
