After agonizing on a bunk bed decision for months we finally bought this bed. It took about 4 hours for my husband and I to put together (with kids running around). It is beautiful and nicely sized. I love walking into the room and seeing it. Shorter than most beds and the sides on the top feel deep and safe enough. My only complaint is that is it SUPER squeaky even a week after assembly. I don't think it is going to settle in. It is so loud if someone moves on the top or the bottom it wakes the other person up. Also if you have to help your toddler on the bottom fall asleep and then try to sneak out there is a huge racket when you get up. Arg! I tried loosening and tightening the screws to no avail. I asked the company and they didn't have any other suggestions. I don't know if everyone will have this problem or not. I hope not!
