For anyone just entering the world of NITRO stadium trucks, buy this one!

I've owned several of these over the years. Some with the Pro .15 and some with the 2.5. It's NOT the most refined and sophisticated truck out there. BUT, it's perfect for everyone who's NOT a serious competition racers. These things can take a beating. They work great for backyard bashing. And yes, they're fast!

Pros:
One of the most durable trucks out there
Perfect for the weekend basher looking to just have fun
TONS of aftermarket upgrades available (If you wanted to invest the money, these trucks can become fine-tuned machines).
FAST, right out of the box
EASY to work on
Replacement parts are readily available either online (amazon, ebay) or at your local hobby store. Almost everyone sells traxxas gear.

Also, if you end up breaking some parts and you'd like to upgrade them, check out the products from RPM RC Products. No, I don't work for them or have any connection to them. Their stuff is made from a highly durable nylon plastic that is even tougher than the stock parts. DON'T be fooled into thinking the aluminum upgrades are superior. They're not. They BEND, instead of FLEXING like plastic components. Also, the aluminum parts are heavier than the plastic parts. Just FYI.

Cons:
I've always been a little annoyed by the thickness of the lower aluminum chassis. And by that, I mean its not thick enough. Because of this, they have that large upper plastic chassis. Which makes everything a bit more bulky (and more difficult to clean). I would've liked to see a more rigid lower chassis that didn't require that upper chassis and would've resulted in a more simplified design.

Secondly, the EZ-Start system is a nice convenience for the beginner. BUT, they're bulky and heavy. Definitely doesn't help with the balance on this truck as all this weight is hanging off one side. Again, I've owned several of these trucks, and I always replaced the EZ-Start system with a simple pull-start. Lighter, simpler, no 6 cell battery pack to carry around.

Conclusion:
This is a great truck to get you into the nitro stadium truck world. It can meet the needs of the most novice beginners to the more advanced tuners. Keep it basic, and it will serve you well. Or, trick it out, and it becomes even more awesome.

Just based upon the accessibility of replacement parts and upgrades, I would recommend this truck to anyone. Easy to fix. Easy to have fun with. Enjoy it.
