This is a heavy piece of furniture. The delivery weight is around 145 pounds. It was very easy to assemble, but it might be wise to first look through all assembly instructions before beginning. The little black circles used to cover metal bolts were a little difficult to keep in place but that is a minor complaint. I didn't see where there were any safety instructions about securing this to a wall. I would do that if I had young children. I'm overall very happy with this room divider and it is exactly what I expected. Delivery experience could have been improved by providing accurate tracking information. This took a while between when I ordered it and when it arrived at my house, but based on tracking information, I was kept guessing about when I should be home to receive it. The shipping company eventually called and arranged a delivery time, which was great, but up to that point, it wasn't clear whether the thing would just show up unannounced at some point. I took several afternoons off anticipating that, but I would not have if I had known in advance that the shipping company would contact me to arrange delivery.
