The table is gorgeous. And it's very sturdy and heavy. The elm wood is gorgeous. I was shocked to see that the wood was not finished, though. The top would just soak up any spills and discolor. Not sure how I would clean it either. But I'm sealing it myself, so it's not a big deal. There are knots and raised grains in the wood, which I love. But if you need a perfectly smooth table, don't get this one. It's heavy and sturdy and unique.
