Craftsman Home Door Bookcase Review

I was pleasantly surprised by this. I was looking for a book case for my office. I tried a couple of those office furniture things (compressed wood, etc) and they are terrible in general. One of them came apart while putting it together. So i started shopping for bookcases that were not 2,000.00 and was having a heck of time finding anything.

Bought this. This furniture is solid, sturdy, and beautiful. Nothing to assemble, you open the box, and there it is. The shelves were inside.The glass doors are nice, came already attached with tape across the glass. The light in the top is a three way switch, so three levels of illumination and brightness. The bulbs came in the light as well. Reach inside, and touch the switch at the top. The shelves are wood with glass inserts, and light goes all the way down, if the shelves are not full.

Be warned, since its solid, it is HEAVY. I mean that, heavy. That is a big plus, not like my falling apart assembly required ones. Going to be a pain to move around that is for sure. If you have children, i would use the wall anchor for this.

Mine has quite a bit darker finish in person than the picture, but still beautiful. It is so nice, i am bought a second one, to go with it. Could not be happier with this.

Dorel Home Products Chelsea Convertible Futon Review

IIRC, I got my 1st futon from Soaring Heart Futon in Fife, WA in 1973. It certainly didn't fit in my VW Beetle, It was a bit lumpy and a pain to put together.

There are two sides to the story of this offering.

Pros:
You will not find a unit that is simpler to put together.
It comes in one compact box.
At about 70" length, a good short bed.
The back that converts to a bed adjusts to a new position with a simple pull (once on each half).
Light weight! < 40 pounds in shipping cardboard!

*It is rated for 600 pounds* (I have some large friends ;)

Cons:
It is integrated. When the foam wears out, get the 4MM allen wrench to remove the middle legs and then a phillips screw driver to remove the 2 hinges for easy disposal.

Taste:

It is a firm foam. Comfortable, and not going to break down soon. With heavy use it will go away. My needs are light duty. The occasional one person needs a bed, Maybe I will stop a few hours and watch some TV movie.

The black plastic cover is not going to have anyone thinking leather. And easy to clean.

Other:

The construction, fit and finish are better than average China stuff.
I see it offered here for $300 (landed). At that price point, I would buy a more traditional set up @ $400 or so.
As I didn't pay anything close to $300, I give it a 5 star. I would not have invested $300. What I paid, it is a
great disposable piece of furniture after its service life. There is no buying a new mattress for the frame. It is integrated.

I love the stools and table set, looks great, comfortable, shipped to me with no problems. Just be careful with scratches on the top of the table. I had a get together and there were a couple of wine bottles and a bottle opener that left scratches that I haven't been able to get out.

I bought this rug, because I needed a third 8X10 rug for my home, the others were all purchased at a another retailer. The colors in the photos made the rug look exactly like the ones I had. Well, if I had nothing to compare this rug to, I guess it would be okay, but it is a much thinner and looser weave, much lighter in color than the pictures, has several sisal fibers sticking out of it and to top it off, smells like vinegar. I have to return it a my cost, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I'll check into shipping costs and make my decision then. I was trying to save some money and am back to buying a rug from where I bought the others. I know it will be a great rug, but I'll be paying almost twice what I spent for this one. I guess that for something like this, seeing it and feeling it is a must.
