If you're considering these knives, you've probably read more than you want to know about the various knives out there. I am no expert and won't attempt to compare these knives to the alternatives.

I will tell you that these knives are attractive, very sharp out of the box, and have great balance. Furthermore, this particular set has a good selection of knives for the beginner who wants to start with quality knives. And it goes without saying that Wusthof has a reputation for quality and longevity. The knives come with a lifetime guarantee, are made in Germany (the knives only perhaps) and the company has been in the knife business for 200 years.

Things to consider:

- This particular block will take only one wide knife (the Cook's knife in this set.) I was disappointed to find that when I added the 5" Santoku there was not a slot that would take it. Now I will likely resort to purchasing a larger 17 slot block.

-Again, no expert here, but these knives are pretty light compared to what I'm used to. This may be good or bad depending on your sensibilities. Similarly, the handles are fairly thin. I recommend going to a department store or BB&B and physically inspecting them prior to making this kind of investment. I have gotten used to this, but people with larger hands may not like the feel.

-Finally, use the sharpening steel (properly) after every use or two and get them professionally sharpened once a year. They should last a lifetime.

I recommend the brand, the Classic line, and the selection in this set. My only wish is that the block would accept another wide knife. Enjoy.

When I received the package the first time , it was in a bad shape as the box had water damage on it. The table itself had damage to the corners on multiple areas. I sent it back the same day and asked for a replacement. I received the replacement promptly but it had exactly the same problem with damages to the corners in multiple areas. I expected at least that someone will inspect the item carefully before they send it again to me. Not planning to purchase furniture through amazon anymore (first and last experience).

Acme 05495 Dreena Bonded Leather Sofa with Five Pillows Review

I was so disappointed with the online purchased for this living room set. The order was delivered in 3 weeks. Upon unpacking and assembling I noticed that the color was not similar to what they have on the website pictures. The materials are cheap looking and the bonded leather was so thin that your finger nails could easily puncture it. Right after setting up the entire cushion, I noticed that one of them has a pulled thread and I called customer service right away. They were helpful and told me to wait for response from the manufacturer. The following day I saw 3 of the cushion seat have snags and it's pulling off from the fabrics. I called the customer service again to inform them and sent pictures for proof. I was told that manufacturer had already shipped a replacement for the first damage cushion seat. Again I was told to wait and they will send my other complain to the manufacturer. A week had past and I was not getting any feedback so I started sending e-mails to the dealer's customer service and response suddenly became slow. On the second week I called, left messages on the person that's handling my complain and still no answer. I decided to take this matter to the manager but a supervisor took my call instead. I explained the situation and my disappointment and I told her that I want to return the furniture and I was asking for a full refund but she promised she would call the manufacturer and will get a possible resolution as soon as possible. The following day she emailed me to let me know that the manufacturer will not ship anything anymore and they will just give me a discount of $350 to go towards the re upholstering if I wish to do so. I told her to re upholster all six cushion will cost more than $350 but then she said that's the best offer that they can do and nothing more. Wow! I paid $2400.00 for a merchandise that has very poor quality materials and supposedly a year of warranty! The cloth material is like a jersey knit or like a knitted yarn that would easily snags. You cannot flip the cushion seat because there's a Velcro on the flip side to prevent it from moving when you stand up. So if the cushion chair is already lopsided no way you could flip it over. The cushion is very hard and not comfortable to sit in. The bonded leather is cheap looking thin materials. The other color on the pillows and sides are maroon, greenish gray and light brown. More on the maroon side. Cushion seat are darker than the website picture. Over all it was a big mistake to order a living room set online. Not worth $2400.00. Lastly, no return, no exchange and i am stuck with it.

Powell Monster 4-Drawer Dresser Review

Purchased 2 of these chests for my son's room. I'm perplexed at the other reviews compared to my own experience with this product, although I don't question the truthfulness of anyone else's experience.

Here's my review of this product: arrived safely and well packaged, the chest is all metal except for a grey woodgrain laminate top (as noted in the description). It seems sturdy as we were moving it around, turning it upside down, etc. when assembling the feet and handles. Although I'm not crazy about laminate either, it actually seems attractive considering its laminate--reminds me of a grey driftwood pattern--that blends nicely with the rest of the chest. All four drawers glide smoothly both opening and closing. It is easy to attach the legs and drawer handles.

I paired this chest with a chrome shelf and wire mesh containers to store toys Seville Classics SHE18370B 18-Inch by 36-Inch by 72-Inch Shelving System, Chrome in my son's room and the chrome on the chest blends well with the chrome shelves.
