Tyent Rettin Under Counter Extreme 9000T Water Ionizer Review

I purchased the 'UCE 9000T' directly from Tyent, primarily because they just happened to have a demo unit that came from a trade show. Good enough for the money I saved; but, I always come back to Amazon for just about everything else.

We've had the Tyent for about two months now, installed by a pro (a man who owns the local Water Factory, retail store). This ionizer is the last link of a complete home water system (water softener and under-the-sink R.O. unit), hence, the Tyent is far from a stand alone device. So far, no leaks, no problems, no issues, and above all, no buyer's remorse. The bottom line is: great water!

We use the neutral H2O (neither acid nor alkaline water) to make coffee, the ALK-1 for drinking, and ACD-3 for washing off veggies. Acidic water really comes in handy for cleaning fruit and vegetables, but the Tyent is worth to price for drinking water, alone.

I took pH readings for all settings using two inexpensive digital pH meters, a Hanna Checker and a calibrated BestDeal. These are the results:

As you can see, the Tyent can generate unacceptably high alkalinity; pH 10 is caustic enough to burn the esophagus. Thus, I recommend close monitory and only use the lowest ALK-1 for drinking. Regardless, I'm most pleased and happy thus far with my investment, which overall added up to $5000 everything included: electrician to run an outdoor outlet (thank you, George), all materials for the water softener shed, cost of the water treatment units (which I purchased from CAI, supper pleased with CAI), and finally labor cost to have all three units installed--thank you, Manuel and Paul from the local Water Factory). Oh, I built the shed and ran the hook up plumbing. Not bad for a weekend DIY'er.

The pH results are not official and of course but I triple checked them with two different digital pH testers, you may have different results. I searched product review before I purchased the UCE 9000T, so this was not a spur of the moment investment. The Tyent came in on top of all the reviews I found. I have a few, minor negative findings but won't go into them now, maybe later. I will, update my review if things change; So, good luck and thank you, too. veryWest
